Does anyone remember these ?

I still like making them now and again, it used to be a Hoosier thing like huge Pork tenderlion hammered sandwiches.

Is pretty much an open faced sandwich with roast beef and mashed potatoes and gravy poured over it.

I still like to make them now and then, just wondered if anyone else has recipes they use and have tried the in the past.

Just another one of my favorite things.

Can't you get that at every truck stop in America? Never heard it called Beef Manhattan though.

God I love open faced sandwiches. If it's on the menu that is what I order.

"Shit on a shingle" is also one of my favs.

I prefer the turkey-variety myself ... on toasted rye with home-fries.

Classic 3:00 am diner-meal!

We call that a beef commercial. $6.00 with stuffing, $3.00 with employee discount.
