Finally some useful info. So just shake the dvd/blu ray to made sure no bug on in it and just store it away for the time being? How about stuff like computer/ gaming console? I KNOW I have to store my pvc figure away as well. The remain concerning is my mom's clothing. She worry when there is a stack of them temp might not get high enough in the middle.

Yea, I think they have to have a host to feed upon or they don't live long. I don't know how long the dvds will be quarantined. I'll ask next time I see him.
Not positive, but I don't think the electronics have to come out. I know his big screen was not in the garage.
They had that big burner running all day, at least 8 hours. I imagine everything in the house got up to temp. Might be worth spreading the clothes out if they're currently jammed together on a rack, but probably not needed.
This guy my neighbor used comes back in a month with a bug-sniffing dog. If they find fresh evidence, they reheat the house. I'm sure they don't want to do that again, so they'll make sure you are well prepared the first time.

They can survive 5-6 months without a meal. Generally they feed once per life stage, then whenever hungry as an adult. This is typically once every two weeks. Adult females lay average 5 eggs per day. It would take a long time to starve them out.

I felt a lot better thinking they starved quickly. :\

Found a few bedbugs this morning. Confirmed with two exterminators. One of them does the spray, the other does thermal. Both of them agree it's only in the bedroom and want $1200 to remove it. This does not include a warranty but I can buy 1 year warranty for $470.

Is it just me, or are these prices insane? I can rip out the bedroom and replace everything for that kind of money

Thinking about proceeding with an off the shelf spray tonight and buying a new bed

Diatomaceous earth sprinkled inbetween the mattress and box spring and along areas where they congregate is guaranteed to dry them up like salt on a slug.

Thanks. Just ordered some and it will be here tomorrow.

Plan is to tear the room apart and start bagging stuff up. Spray some bed bug killer stuff, then when we put the bed back together tomorrow put plenty of this Diatomaceous earth stuff between it.

And re-check/re-apply frequently for a few months for anything we missed or new generations.
