bedroom paint color

so the master bedroom of my new house came with a pink ceiling and pink walls. i have finished painting the ceiling white (worst job ever) and am ready to paint the walls something besides white. a female friend suggested a wheat color for its warmth. i know that dark colors shrink rooms so are there any other recommended colors? ladies of atot feel free to help out here.

consider hiring a decorator....seriously. I thought I never would, but after moving into a new house, and wanting to quickly get it painted, I hired one. It cost $60 for a two hour consult, and she had some great suggestions that we followed to great success.

edit: we went with sage green for the bedroom...we wanted something different than 'beige' like we always pick ourselves

mine is called kiwi kisses and it is a watered-down looking lime green. I love it, especially since it matches really nicely with purple. Although I don't quite think that is what you're looking for. Whatever you do, don't get a light tan color--they look REALLY ugly a few years later.

I also just recently painted one of my classrooms at school a very very light blue and it looks great.

i had one lined up for free but she is really flakey so that fell through and i figured i can handle this one room on my own. the rest of the house can wait a little while, just not my bedroom.

Mine is sage green, my ex picked it, but it's pretty nice.
