Ok, so i am looking for some soft and silky bedding to replace my current setup. I read on here a while ago i should shoot for satin with a high thread count...so...what do you think of:

ignor the design, i like this one a lot, but i'm more about comfort than looks.

what about victoria's secret bedding?

i know it may be a little girly, but i dont really care...

if you dont like these. what do you suggest?

100% cotton sheets with 500 or greater thread count FTW!!! 400 TC would be fine too.

Those high sheen satin sheets are too hot. You'll sweat all night unless it's freezing cold in the room.

I don't like satin either. Doesn't breath as well and you're slip sliding all over the place. The novelty wears off quick.

Get good ole egyptian cotton at 450 or above.

It's a myth that super high thread count is best. Personally I hate it, and god help you if you're in the throws of passion. I had a set and my gf fell off the bed, lol.

The set you link to is "satin." Seriously pick up a 300-400 thread count egyptian cotton that does not say satin or sateen, you'll be golden.

Any name brand is good, even some of the off brand stuff is as well. Bedding is personal, you should go to tjmaxx or marshalls or something, the prices are about the same and you can see/feel it before you buy.

Egyptian cotton sheets, 400 Thread Count. Very soft.

BUT, beware because some manufacturers inflate their thread count.

Thread Count definition

I bought mine from Overstock.com during one of their linen sales, queen-size for about $40.

For the comforter cover, I'd go with silk. I love mine.

ok...so i went to TJ maxx and a local bedding store. Man, i'm glad i didnt impulse on the satin...the egyptian cotten feels MUCH MUCH nicer, and as iwearnox said the prices are pretty good locally too...although, they didnt have any colors i liked, so instead i got some plush micro seude pillows and a throw (for my lazy boy) lol...
