last year we spent 3K on a Innomax king size air bed, including solid frame. This bed will last a very very long time.

I got a "deep sleep" mattress from Simmons or Sealy. Anyways, its nice and cost me 400 bones (queen). that should last at least 5-6 years... then purchase a 2000-3000 dollar Latex matress.

We bought a queensize "Kingsdown" set from good old Art Van a few months ago, it is the most comfortable thing I have ever slept on and it has a complete lifetime warranty.

Oh yeah, it was 2k.

If you have to buy now I would recommend a Sealy Posturpedic Queen Fenway Ultra Plush which is on sale at CostCo.

If you can wait 2 months, CostCo has a Sealy Queen for $339 after $60 off coupon.

We bought the CostCo Sealy Queen almost 2 years ago and it's an awesome bed.

dont ask, my parents paid like 7 G's (Canadian) I think. I'm much too poor to actually own one of these.....but if you think about it, it is the last bed you will ever have to buy so the price is not so bad. And they are unbelievably comfortable.

Our Sealy Posturpedic from CostCo is awesome.

I wanted a QUALITY bed but was working with limited funds and I love CostCo's return policy so it's the best $339 I ever spent for a bed.

If/when we need a replacement we might upgrade to something fancier or get another CostCo bed.

What kind of lame-o bed did you get that it wears out after two years?

I've had a cheap-ass Ikea mattress and frame for the past five years and it still gives a good night's sleep.

Either you found some mattress on a street corner or you're Fat Albert.

Almost 2 years, purchased January 2002 but I am optimistic because;

1) My roommate bought the same Sealy Posturpedic model from CostCo 6 years ago, it still holds up well.
2) It's from CostCo - who has THE BEST return policy.
3) It's a name brand Sealy Posturpedic, not POS Englander I owned before which broke after 2 years.
4) The bed has a 10 year warranty I believe.
5) I purchased it using our CostCo Amex cc which extends our warranty by 1 year for FREE.

This bed should easily last another 8 years.

We're looking for a new bed too (upgrading from a queen to a king to match our new bedroom suit that'll be here next week.) It's confusing as hell.

I like the feel of a lot of the memory foam and latex beds, but my wife isn't quite as crazy about them and we've heard mixed reviews (as you'll hear for pretty much any product I suppose.) We've come across some great units from Sealy and Simmons that we like, although I'm not sure if I buy this 'no flip' business that they're promoting with a lot of the newest innercoil mattresses. Maybe it's true, but I'm skeptical.

I've had a Serta Perfect Sleeper queen-sized pillow top since I was 13. It's been a fantastic mattress and has served me (and my gf, now wife) well for the last 15 years. I don't mind spending decent money on a mattress as it'll hopefully last a good long while. It's just tough to know how they'll hold up in the long haul.

I agree that it's very confusing.

Here's a good thread to read, the next time we're in Phoenix, Arizona we're going to visit the mattresses.net warehouse, if we like what we see I think we'll order one.
