Beck

Just starting to get into him a bit (not Jeff Beck, the other Beck, just Beck). I've listened to a lot of his stuff through friends. Now, I just need to pick which CD of his to buy first. Any recommendations?

I'm told "Midnite Vultures" is absolutely incredible, but I've only heard one track off it (Sexx Laws, and I dug it hard).

By the way, I've never owned a Beck CD. Just played them on the radio, and Odelay is the only one that I'm familiar with.

I loved sea change (his latest) when I got it...it's real mellow, kinda folksy...good stuff. His music has changed quite a bit over the years.

I think Odelay is the best (and not just the hit songs). Extremely innovative album.
All of his albums have a distinctly different feel to them IMO, so someone who likes Midnite Vultures, for instance, might not like Sea Change at all.
