i just got my new rig set up yesterday.hehe (im still gitty) i just ran bench marks with pc mark 04.

pc mark 3842
cpu 4126
memory 4682
grafics 3913
hdd 6057

can any one post what they got to compare thanks.

AFAIK

AMD 3500+ = Socket 939
K8V Deluxe = Socket 754

What would be really interesting is SETIBench: link, gotta follow the instructions step-by-step and post the contents of the result.sah file for us I don't think anyone's reported a S@H benchmark on Socket939 around here yet, you can be the first 🙂 The hard part will be leaving the system alone for a couple hours so it can do the benchmark 😀 Overnight, perhaps? Yes, you do have to sleep! 😉

Did you go through the instructions and download the SETI@Home client program from Berkeley, then put it into the same folder with the .bat file? If not, that's your next step. I would've included the actual client program but Berkeley doesn't like it being redistributed 🙁

That is a nice rig. But take it from me, PCMark04 is a waste of a benchmark.

My P4 2.6@3.2 gets 4600 points and 5500 when I disable HT and set High Priority status. So according to this benchmark, the computer is actually faster without HT (BS!!!) and it's about 43% faster than yours (taking my highest score), which is COMPLETELY false.

You should try to benchmark games, SuperPi (1million decimals), SETI@Home, 3dmark01 (should get around 23000-24000 points)

But to tell you the truth, I don't really think you need to benchmark your PC because anyone knows that you have outstanding components across the line. Now overclock your processor ... you know you want to.
