Bechmarking softwares for Laptop

I have recently purchased a new Dell Inspiron 6400 Laptop. I want to run some benchmarks so that I could compare its performance.

BTW, my laptop runs pretty fast and I don't know much about the benchmark softwares. A link to some previous thread will also help.
