You really needed help with that? This is basic calc. You're screwed.

Sorry, Sohcahtoa is all I remember.
Sounds like one of them 'good problems'.You try being dragged around the city by two different girls...
That was kind of my point.I'm surprised no one has complained about this yet:
The word is DIFFERENTIATE.
Also unless you just learned about derivatives, I don't care how "tired" you are; if you cannot differentiate sin(3x) and/or are incapable of googling, it's time to go ahead and pick up that English major.
Having read the OP's posts before, I'm not sure he's bright enough to be in a calculus class. If he is, then asking how to find the derivative of sin(3x) indicates that he's not bright enough to be in a calculus class.
Thus, I've come to the conclusion that what he means is he wants to derive a formula for sin(3x) in terms of sin(x)
He can do his own homework, but tips:
Start with sin(2x + x) and use the sum of two angles formula for sin.
After than, you'll substitute for sin(2x) using the appropriate formula, and cos(2x) using the appropriate formula. For the latter, you've probably learned 3 formulas. Hint: you're trying to end up with nothing but sin(x) terms/factors. Don't use a formula with a cosine in it. Then, after a little simplifying, you'll have a cos^2(x) factor. Simple pythagorean identity to get that one in terms of sin(x). Clean it up a bit & you're done.
10 to 1 your teacher did cos(3x) in class. The answer is very similar for sin(3x). If it's not, you're wrong.

What's with every thread in OT turning into a flame war? Honestly.
You should probably call USF, UCF and FSU to complain, because they've all gladly already said yes to my 3.5 GPA that includes 6 AP classes with all 6 exams passed, including a 5 on AP United States History, World History, Spanish Lang and Lit plus a 4 on AP Literature.
What are young going to study? I'll meetup with you sometime (somebody needs to confirm if you are as dumb in real life as you are on here)
Computer information Science with a minor on Spanish, after that applying for AF/Navy officer school, if i don't get admitted to officer school, both of my parents are financial analyst @ Citi Group, they can easily get me a job there.
