Beaver Choice

This restaurant named Beaver Choice just opened in town. It's owned by a bunch of Swedish immigrants. I'm not sure if the name means something a bit less odd in Swedish or it's a conscious choice because people find it funny.

I have to admit though, the name got me in the door because I just wanted to see what the heck was going on. Their food was incredibly tasty, so I'll be heading back to the Beaver again soon

They do mostly Scandinavian food which isn't something you normally find in Arizona. Next time we're going to try their cordon bleu schnitzel which one of the people there described as "sex on a fork".

Anyone else have a place nearby with a questionable name but great food?

Vietnamese restaurants can have some funny names. There is one near Chinatown called Pho Bang. There is also the one that Russel Peters makes fun of in Toronto called Pho Phuc Lai (or something like that)... can't think of any others...

you need to ask them for their "special" menu. There's one like that where I live too and the restaurant is just a front for selling 2-legged beavers in the back, hence, the name 😛

Not exactly related, but the Norwegian pavilion at Epcott was my favorite place to eat on my Disney vacation. I wish we had a Scandinavian restaurant nearby.

As far as I know this place is the only one in the Phoenix metro area. I don't really count the cafeteria at Ikea.
