hey all...i was wondering about this one aspect of installing linux on win2k doing a dual boot....heres my idea...

install linux on a 2 gig logical partition on a slave drive.
how can i get win2k to add linux to its boot loader and/or is there a way to get lilo to load win2k also? ok...now that thaths asked...i know i could just erase the partition if i dont want linux anymore..but...what happens to the bootloader or MBR on the master drive? will it still gve me an option? if so how could i change that.. i just want to make sure that i can get rid of anyting i do if i wanted to, to make the system the way it was before i decide i dont like linux! :)

You have two options

1) Using the NT-Loader,
Check this mini-Howto:
NT-Loader

2) Using Lilo,
Check this mini-Howto:
LiLo ( Linux Loader )

I think you should go with the NT-Loader, if you are considering not keeping linux!!

Have fun...

Those bootmanagers I recommended will see the Linux installation on that partition. At least it did for me, with OSL2000. Don't forget to install Lilo somewhere on that partition (forgot which folder, sorry), else OSL2000 won't see it.
