I just downloaded the new one when I saw that 2 million people had downloaded it. I figured I had to find some good files on it and I did. It's also fast download files in a couple of minutes.

Yeah it has spyware, think it's called Savenow or something like that. But you can uninstall it via add/remove programs.

there is also one called onflow and another called newdotnet.
the newdotnet one supposedly can only be uninstalled with registry edits. the developer, Vinnie, has admitted to all this and now has plenty of people pissed off at him over at some other forums i just checked out.

nope. that won't work. its a file called newdotnet2_78.dll u got to get rid off..

plus it bypasses sone of the firwalls (zone alarm, for one).

so bearshare kinda sunk to a new low.

<< yah, try ad-aware. that should do the trick for this situation. >>

no, ad-aware DOEST not detect it, nor the latest release of zone alarm and zone alarm pro.

<< wow skylark, you must have some pretty classified info or illegal pr0n on your machine. >>

pfahaha.. no steve gibson turned me into a paranoid freak like the rest at grc.com! :p

i swear i have no pr0n.. just err ahem some warez and games

anyone want wondows xp or office? :D

my next step is to implement email and drive encryption. some hacker gets in, he's going have to bypass my encryption to have any access to my system resources and data.
