only good thing is this is griese's first outing in what 2 years? he was not terrible considering the recivers droped a lot and the running game blows.

hopefully he gets better with more playing time.

Bears suck. They'll go from getting creamed in the SuperBowl to not even making the playoffs in one season.

34 pts in the 4th quarter for the Lions.

no matter what the season's outcome is for the Lions, it's finally exciting to watch them (post-barry).

That's a new NFL record, BTW.

I think the Bills held that record until today.

haha i love it. exactly what i said with grossman, but thats a completely different story though right? I really can't wait to hear greezy's supporters comming out, saying the exact same things rex backers did. Doesn't matter who the QB is -> no running game, no O line, no recievers, shit play calling = loss, regardless of who is throwing.

Bears are back to square one now. Boo grossman off the field, old man river is not the answer, orton? Now we need to draft a QB or make a big name trade/sign and wait 2-3 years again to see if it pans out. Awesome.

edit* Where the fuck are Olsen, Wolfe, and Hester on offense? For christ sake, the 3 most exciting players we have, not one touch in the game. Pathetic play calling. One screen pass to Hester/Wolfe or one slant to Olsen and i'd be ecstatic.

From watching the game on TV I'd have to say there had to 20K-25K Bears fans at that game. Way to represent Chitown.

The Lions better get some defensive backfield and O-line players next year.

You mean taking a receiver with every pick the last how many years isn't a good way to build a team?

:p

Same shit every week. Bears can't keep their offense on the field for very long or consistently so the Defense plays well up until the 4th quarter. What a surprise!

Hey, just because half of them tanked doesn't mean that Matt Millen is a bad judge of talent.

Speaking of which I don't think I read in any of the papers here that Calvin Johnson was out. I wonder for how long?

dude Grossman has had a few years. he couldnt get any better.

this was the first game for griese. IF he does not improve over the next two games then move on.

you forget that Griese has not practiced with the first squad or even played for years. you can't just jump onto the field and expect to light it up.

edit: not to mention i have said Griese is not the asnwere. But ntiether is Rex. They need to get a real QB. but its time to yank Rex and give someone esle a chance.

Just like there are 20k plus Detroit fans when they play in Chicago, even during the 2-3 win seasons.

Think it has more to do with only being ~300 mi away than representin yo

It was a wonderful game though, even with the refs being Bears fans and all.. They sure were trying to come up with anything they could to let them keep the game going. ;)
