I'd think twice about restocking that bird feeder anytime soon. That bear might have to be put down eventually otherwise.

I remember a guy who used to put food out on his window sill for bears. He went away for a while but the bears broke in and trashed his house looking for food. Feeding bears is always a bad idea...even if that wasn't your intent.

IDK... You could be standing under the bear when the rope broke. :p

If the bear gets used to feeding there and then finds no food it might start foraging around someone's house/trash etc. Once they find a food source they generally return to it. Bears are pretty smart.

Someone was obviously close enough to take those pictures.
