Yeah, looks to me like the bear just didn't want to fight. It probably could've handled the lion easily with that much of a weight advantage.

Puhlllease.

If that bear wanted a piece of that mountain lion (not leapord) then he would have mauled the fvck out of him. The bear looked to me like he might have wanted to play, like my dog.

There isn't a single cat on the north american continent that could even penetrate the grizzly's hide, much less "pwn" like you n00bies are saying.

Jesus, you guys are really brain dead today. That WAS a grizzly. He just didn't wanna mess with him, and obviously the mountain lion wasn't hurting him or he would have retaliated.

I didn't view this video, but does anyone here watch America's Funniest Videos? They had one clip where a black bear was peering inside of a bush and then a housecat jumped out and chased to bear away. Either black bears are complete pansies or cats are the spawn of Satan.

Brown bear

Grizzly bear

Definitely a brown bear.

There would be no such video of a mountain lion fighting a grown grizzly, as there is likely no mountain lion that stupid.

First that bear was at least a brown bear if not a grizzly both very aggressive and dangerous. Either the mountain lion/cougar is tresspassing on the bears territory or the bear thought it might get to eat a little cougar cub. Neither of which is worth getting roughed up for, note the head down approach.

that wasn't a bear. that was a pvssy.

seriously though, what a poor excuse for a bear. one swipe should have knocked that kitty down.

I think the bear didn't want to lose an eye over such a small morsel as the kitten. Hence keeping its head down.

ok, i guess i don't know how strong a grizzly is - i guess it would definitely lose to elephant or rhino :).

now, what about a adult [male] lion (or tiger) vs. grizzly ? it may have a weight advantage but i don't think it is as agile as a cat. besides for a kill, these cats will go straight for the throat (especially the lion).

what do you think? thanks.

But yeah, that bear lost. All about the posturing. Although cats are pretty god damn tough if they're forced to fight.

Yeah, you could call it a cougar, but not a leopard...as far as common names typically go.

Puma, cougar, mountain lion, Florida panther, red tiger.

Certainly not a leopard.

Cub was cute:)

It's been done, and the grizzly won every time.

I like cats better, but the grizzly is almost the meanest mother out there. Be interesting to pair it with a rhino or hippo, I suppose...

grizzly vs. a tiger...grizzly weigh 800 lbs and tigers weigh 700. both have different strengths and are mean as motherfvckers

i am pretty confident with rhino or elephant, both would kick grizzly's a$$.

btw, i have heard that lions have killed rhino and elephant sometimes, and rhino killing elephant sometimes. rhino and elephant are probably the strongest among all on land.
