Beacon port?

Oh, just give me a second to check each of the 1255 .ini files I have on my comp so I can figure out what the hell you're talking aboot.

Client LAN Beacon Port (8777 by default)
Unreal Tournament uses this port in communicating with servers on a LAN.

Server LAN Beacon UDP Port (9777 by default)
Unreal Tournament uses this port to announce its presence to clients on a LAN.

So, if my connection is set to LAN should these ports be forwarded even though i'm not playing in a LAN game?

This is very interesting. I'll just have to set my connection to Cable Modem and if it is noticibaly worse, i'll set it back with the client port forwarded. Thanks
