My friends and I want to get a beach house for June and July. We're looking for something with good surfing yet not expensive (ideally less than 1300 / month per person). Do such things exist?

not expensive:
1300/month PER PERSON

You don't need a beachhouse. not going to take this further with what I was going to say.

Scratch out the east coast, you are much better off getting a place in Costa Rica for a month rather than southern Cali. Waves in Costa are much cheaper, no wetsuit, better waves, more consistant waves, and cheaper. Did I mention cheaper?

I am sure I say it alot around here, but the Jaco area has the best surf in the summer/fall time for all levels. Places to stay over there are still (almost 2x what it was the first time i went) very inexpensive (also very expensive places).
