BE6 mobo only detecting 128MB of a 256MB pc133 stick of ram

I have a be6 mobo, and I just bought a couple sticks of 256MB RAM, pc133. At boot, the mobo only detects half the mem on each chip; so only 128 of the 256. I can have my old pc100 128MB stick in at the same time, and that will be detected as the full 128MB. I found a couple mentions of this problem, but no solutions and/or descriptions of what is going on. Help please. Thanks.

Thanks for the link. I read all of that, and I learned a few important things, but I am still lost about some things. Returning the RAM will be no problem, but now I guess I'll just spare myself any more trouble and buy some more expensive RAM from a retailer that knows what it is doing.
