I've had this problem for a while and I'm sure I heard that there was a problem with the power chips used on the motherboard which conflicted in some way with the GF2 when it fires up?

Basically I switch the PC on sometimes and get no output from the video card, yet the machine IS booting up. I of course press reset a few times and eventually I get video output! This is a real pain cos when people use my PC who dont know about this it boots up, Windows then complains its not been shutdown properly and I get safemode, sometimes it even re-detects the video card.

Either way its a pain in the ass.

I've got the lastest BE6-2 BIOS, was also wondering if there is a fix for the video card like a BIOS patch or something, cos this is REAL annoying, especially when I get ADSL and wanna leave PC on all the time, if it reboots while I aint here I'll have to hard reset it from inside windows all the time :(

well update to the latest bios, on both mobo and vid card. btw turn off all the shadowing stuff when updating the bios. then update your vid card drivers. i'm not sure if it'll work, but here is hoping. a friend has the same problem and no it has really gone away.

I have a BE6-2 and a GF2 and fotunately do not have this problem. What revision BE6-2 mb is that? Mine is one of the newer ones with the Highpoint 370 controller. Good Luck. Here's a bump for you.
