Hello,
I am working on an alternative scenario for the new system i am in the process of buying and building.
It seems that the memory i have ordered may never be available, so i am now looking at other brands but the cpu cooler i have is not suited to be used with memory sticks with large heatsinks. I am currently thinking of G.skill memory as an alternative.
Since i can still use the cooler i have for the other home theater system(will be my current system with some minor upgrades) that i have in mind. I am thinking of just buying a new cooler.
I had this cooler in mind :
be quiet! Shadow Rock TF 2, CPU-koeler
It seems to fit in the case i have, i still have to do final measurements to see if i can maintain my current 2 intake fans that are mounted on the sidepanel on the inside. Worst case is that i have to remove one fan but i still have the dustguard and i might make a flexible tunnel that kind of directs the airflow to the cpu cooler.
And it fits and also cools ram.
So that is very promising. It is a monstrous 160W TDP cooler but that way, the zen+ i am highly likely going to buy (instead of the 1600 i had plans for) will never get hot and the sensMI and boost features might kick in longer.
Anybody have experience with this cooler and a microatx board ?
I want to mount it on a AB350M from ASROCK (That is , if that board will boot with a zen+ cpu even with an old bios far enough, to update the bios in the menu.
