Be OS 5 Personal Edition and the Linksys Router w/cable....anyone get it to work...

if so, what settings did you use. I can't seem to get it to work. I am useing an Intel Pro 100+ Management adapter which is recognized and active. I can't ping the router though.

Force your tcp settings in beos
your ip and gateway dont forget to tell beos your dns servers
man it took me a while to figure out why i could get to ip pages and no real domains

Yeah, I've got all that setup. DNS, Gateway, IP, Host...all with the same settings as Win98. I don't see why I can't even ping the router or other machines on the LAN.

Yes, in Be you have to force the TCP/IP settings... I have three PCs connected to my Linksys, one WinME, SE2, and BeOS 5 personal Edition. I'm really falling in love with this BeOS. Now if I could just get RC5 installed, I'd leave it on all the time!
