This is for certain products such as coolers (GPU, CPU):

Make sure you buy from a authorized reseller of the product you are buying or you may not be entitled to warranty/support!

I bought a HR-03 GT from directcanada.com (I thought it was an authorized reseller), and the bracket to hold base of cooler down, one hole was not threaded (so I had to drill through to use it)

I emailed thermalright to see if I could get that part replaced and they told me I cannot due to where it was purchased.

Be aware of where you buy and whether the company will honor support from that retailer!

:D

Note: I am not dissapointed in that they will not send me a replacement since my cooler still mounts and works fine

I always get my cooling stuff either locally, at SVC, newegg, chiefvalue, directron, xpcgear or zipzoomfly. Also haven't really run into a problem with any of my cooling with the exception being my AC Silencer NV5R3 that's starting to crap out. I'll probably jump to another AC product - the Accelero S1 - pretty soon.

My point is, for whatever you are buying: Make sure that where you bought it from the manufacturer will still give you support/warranty

I don't have any stores locally that carry thermalright. AC yes but not TR

Lucky. Why do you get stores that carry AC when all of mine only carry Zalman's overpriced crap? :(

AC and Zalmann local. If only I had known about the Accellero before I bought my HR03GT, could have saved some coin

hehe...

I have close ties with a few aftermaket cooling vendors.

I usually buy there brand, so i never have on problems with RMA's.
However i usually mod it and then RANT a earsore worth. :p

And they usually take care of me quick, or i unleash hell.

What was wrong with your TR bracket? Pictures?

Unfortunately TR is one company that doesnt care about me ranting.

There IFX-14 The most expensive air sink they have = NOT FLAT!!! :T

I'll make a note never to recomend directcanada. However if your looking or a canada store, NCIX.Com is my first recomendation.

dc is a great place to buy from ... so long as they are authorized for that product

they normally have 10% better prices than NCIX

dont buy from DC if you are buying thermalright!

NCIX = DirectCanada

They are the same company, but DirectCanada doesn't have the customer service, they are just a website and use NCIX's warehouse location. If you buy from either they may be shipped from the same address.

NCIX automatically accepts 'pricematch' from DirectCanada, so you can always get the same deals from NCIX that you can get from DirectCanada, and get NCIX's great service too.
