BDay coming up, need Digital camera advice

Looking for a digital camera for my bday. I was looking at the Kodak dx3600, seems a bit expensive. I'm looking for about 2-2.2 megapixel camera, $200 max is i think the max my parents will spend. Any ideas? thanks

$200 is a tough budget to work with. personally i was told to stay away from Kodak digital cameras because they tend to die. I have a Nikon CoolPix 775 and love it. however it is $100 out of your price range. I don't think you'll be able to find a really good 2.1 megapixel camera for around $200. but i remember the Canon A20 being on sale a few places. might want to check to see if that's anywhere in your price range. good luck.

That is a tough price for 2.1, I bought a Sipix 2.1 for $200.00 and it sits on my bookshelf now unused because of the non-quality. I ended up buying a Olympus which rocks but is way over your budget. Try looking at Fuji's camera's, a friend has one, she paid $239.00 off of QVC I think and it takes amazing pictures, great color and it's 2.1. It actually takes better point and shoot pics than my $500.00 Olympus does without tweaking.

At 200 dollars, you pretty much can't pick the camera, you just get whatever comes your way. Hang around the hot deals forum and look for a good deal. Try to get one with atleast 2 mpixels and an optical zoom. If you hang around the HD forums long enough, something good will come your way.
