Oh wow, UGA cracked the top 10, awesomeness.

Now I just need LSU to inch up to #2 and I'll be all set.

I keep hearing talk of Oregon possibly getting a crack at the national title, but at #5 I don't see how.

Can someone explain?

If they beat ASU on saturday they might jump ahead of LSU, plus I think they have an easier schedule then the other top teams after that.

They play Arizona St next week. I'd guess they'll beat them, but they'll probably need BC and maybe someone else to lose.

Yup. And Ohio St is definitely not a lock to beat Michigan. I'm sure there is plenty of fun and merriment to be had in the top 10 over the next couple weeks.

it's never 'a lock' to beat any good team, let alone Michigan. Rivalry games, no matter how highly rated one team is, always seem to be tough, at least in regards to OSU v Michigan. It may very well be a matchup of undefeated-in-the-conference giants, a rivalry game no less, and in Michigan to boot. That game alone, if it proves successful for OSU, should leave no doubters as to whether OSU deserves a crack at the NC again. I'll be tipsy and nervously on edge the entire game.
But first, we got Wisconsin and Illinois ahead. A win against Wisconsin will give OSU the record for most consecutive wins in the conference, the last loss having been in Happy Valley 2 years ago.

No it shouldn't. But it will... Oregon already blew them out in Ann Arbor, but Oregon plays a much tougher schedule than OSU and are being punished for it.

If they beat ASU on saturday they better jump ahead of LSU, plus I think they have an easier schedule then the other top teams after that.

Fixed. If they don't this system is just blatantly fraudulent. On the other hand, is that really in question anymore?

What a turnaround! I really think they'll win out the season and ruin OSU's hopes of a national championship.

I would never have thought beating a miserable Minnesota team would propel them from 20 to 12.

Ohio State will beat Michigan. Michigan is no longer competitive under Lloyd Carr; I would be shocked if he didn't "resign" between seasons.

I think Hawaii needs to be ranked higher. Never take being undefeated for granted.

Why is Auburn as high as they are? They were #22 last week and beat a crappy Mississippi (2-6 going in) team.

The same reason that Michigan is 12.

8, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, and 21 lost.

AMEN!

I wouldnt bet on the bucks 100% this year though. If Hart and Henne are both healthy they will put up a solid fight at home. But they are both sketchy so theres no telling if they will both be ready. If not, Mallet will get hammered.

plenty to worry about before the matchup against OSU. Wolverines / Sparties should be a fun game to watch :)

I'm hoping the Buckeyes blow one before the Michigan game :p
