Oregan is a strong 2nd half team, I expect they will pull through with or without the refs help.

Boise and TCU can play in the Cupcake Bowl. Those two teams have no business in the top 10 period. Record doesn't matter if you play nobody. Alabama at 9-3 (with a healthy QB) would slaughter both those squads, it wouldn't even be funny.

As long as Boise gets a top ranked team (Read: Not TCU) and TCU the same for the bowls this year it will do a lot to put some mouths in their place. Wisconsin vs Boise and TCU vs LSU would be great with Ore vs Auburn for the NC.

I mean great as in TCU and Boise would get slaughtered and the needless spin for those teams could be canned.

Who has Oregon played outsaide of Stanford? That is right, cupcakes in the weak PAC-10 that is given credit due to being an AQ conference. This is their second quality opponent this year.

I put Auburn #1 but would not put Oregon at #2.

You sure do like jumping around direct questions don't you? Are you a politician in the making? You say that Alabama would not go undefeated if they had Boise's schedule this year. Really? Which game do you think they would lose and why? Those are pretty direct questions and should be easy enough for you to answer.

If Alabama showed up every single game they would be a great team, but they have not done that this year. I would not give them a pass to go undefeated with those schedules.

Alabama would struggle against VT and perhaps Nevada.

I want to see BSU play someone not named TCU in a big bowl game this year. I am indifferent to Alabama, but they just have not shown it thoroughly all year that they are a top team.

I agree with you considering Oregon's strength of schedule is actually worse than both Boise State and TCU. Before this week's games: Oregon - 74 Boise State - 63 TCU - 53 With that being said, here are a few others of note to round out the top 15: Auburn - 6 Wisconsin - 60 Stanford - 57 LSU - 11 Ohio State - 48 Oklahoma State - 47 Alabama - 18 Michigan State - 31 Arkansas - 13 Virginia Tech - 43 Missouri - 2 Oklahoma - 21

**edit** Well, I had these formatted and really don't feel like doing it over again.

Whether Bama is considered a top team in your eyes was not the question. At least you say 'perhaps' when faced with answering the question because if you went to look at the schedule just now you would realize that wow, Boise's schedule really does blow.

I too want to see Boise play a real team/not TCU. Boise or TCU versus Auburn / Oregon / LSU would be good for me as a football fan but until we have a playoff it's all about money. A playoff will also be about money but they would at least have a chance to recoup the losses provided those small market teams lose early enough.

I hope South Carolina beats Auburn, both because I want to see USC win the SEC championship and because we'd see Boise State in the national championship game.

I guess Boise never got a chance to learn about how bad their kicker is since they were blowing everyone out by multiple TDs.

I feel bad for that kicker. That's just an awful life curse I'd never wish upon anyone.

Yeah, it'll follow the guy for the rest of his life. Chances are he's just random person kicking around who doesn't really care about pro football all that much but played for the team or something to have something to do before moving on to a normal job.

And this random guy just cost Boise years of work in previous years to get to this point, which they'll probably never get to again along with the millions of dollars that comes with huge bowls.

He's going to need police protection and/or suicide watch, haha.

BSU did not handle business, good bye national championship aspirations.

I wonder if the kicker just lost his scholarship.

He's a walk on senior. I'm more worried about him harming himself to be honest.

He was a walk on freshman. Now he's a scholarship senior and his 418 career points is first among all active players. He can handle himself.

He has tons of points but his actual kicking stats aren't that impressive since BSU scores so many TDs. He's averaging about 1 FG/game this year. A quick glance over at ESPN shows that he's about 40th in FGs made and 34th in FG% this year His accuracy was good freshman year and then it died. In addition to poor FG%, he's missed 3 extra points, 2 this year. I know it's just college but I don't know if he'd even make a UFL team.

I was semi-hoping that BSU and TCU would win out to help push for a playoff system but this result was pretty exciting. But, that was brutal. I still feel bad for the kicker even if he wasn't that good.

At this point I actually hope both Oregon and Auburn win next week. At least then that kicker won't have to hear bullshit like 'you lost the national championship for us!' when there was really never a chance they would play for one at all.

At this point, I think even if Auburn loses the SEC championship game, they will still be in the national title game. Even if TCU wins out

And I think they would deserve to as well. I'm happy about the Boise loss, not only does it rule out a Boise/TCU NCG, but Boise should still get a decent bowl against another conference team.

At least the BCS wont throw TCU and Boise against each other now. HATED that
