look at Auburn's schedule this year. If they go undefeated, they deserve a spot without a doubt. Look at Boise's schedule.

Did I say Auburn did not deserve a spot? So you are penalizing Boise because they play in a different conference? Not sure how that is their fault.

you mean the auburn team that plays 4 road games all year?

the 'schedule' argument the BCS schools toss out is ridiculous

'no, your schedule isn't good enough. play someone first.'
'you assholes won't play us'
'well, until we let you play us, you're not good enough to play us.'

wtf.

Oregon and BSU are good teams but it would be hard for me to believe that they would be undefeated after playing South Carolina, Arkansas, LSU, Georgia and then Alabama.

It would not be hard for me to believe it. I live in SEC country so I see this all the time. BSU and TCU are good enough to do as well as Auburn has this year. Why do people always compare those schools to the SEC? What about the:

Big East? joke
Big 10? One really good team
PAC 10? Two really good teams
ACC? One good team
Big 12? Two good teams

This year, the ONLY teams that TCU and BSU would have trouble playing against, if any trouble at all:

Aurburn (which SHOULD be #1 by all means, their schedule is so much more than anyone else's since that is all people ever care to talk about)
Oregon
Stanford
Wisconsin

I don't see anyone else PERIOD. Those two teams are that good right now.

boise st didn't want to play nebraska or ohio state when offered the opportunity.

So their "anytime/anywhere" AD is just a hypocrite.

It only says that OSU wanted a 1 and 0 with TCU just to fill a slot and the contract wasn't signed to finalize it. TCU opted to go for a 1 and 1 with another BCS school.

I also heard ESPN state on the radio a little bit ago that Nebraska wanted a 2 for 1 with BSU and they rejected that. I don't know about the money thing, but I have heard they do ask for quite a bit.

Auburn just played the defending champs, a team with maybe 20 future NFL players on it, on the road, in a slam full 100k+ stadium.

What game from TCU or BSU's schedule would you compare to that?

I have to admit before this week I was optimistic about Auburn. Seeing them come from behind on the road has erased any doubts I have had. Auburn's offense and defense are certifiably mean now and I cannot wait until the SEC championship game.

They're better than any team on BSU or TCU's schedule and they were at home. Nothing more needs to be said.

All the talent in the world means nothing if you don't play as a team. Alabama is 9-3 for a reason, and that reason is because they aren't a top program this year.

Auburn only had one game that stood out to me as Auburn needing things to fall their way to win, South Carolina. All the other games have been well played throughout until today. That was a great game today.

The SEC Championship game should be very good.

Which game on TCU or BSU's schedule would you compare to playing bama at home?

Alabama has 3 losses and is nowhere near the team they were last year. They are NOT playing as a team. Until Alabama plays as a team, they are not going to play as a Championship caliber team. They collapsed today.

No matter how you try to spin it, Alabama is not a top contendor at all.

Yeh, I'm amazed Stoops didn't go medieval on the refs on that 2nd penalty which was *clearly* lead with the shoulder. AZ got abslolutely hosed. Least they got the ball back and put a couple points on the board.

Alabama is like Iowa, Arizona, Oklahoma and so on. Right now I do not classify them as a top tier program so it is pointless who they have played.

Alabama:

Got beat down by South Carolina.
Lost to LSU in a close game.
Collapsed today against Auburn (which I think is the real #1).

Unfortunately Alabama has not played as a team thoroughly all season. It does not matter who is on your schedule if you show up to play and lack team cohesiveness when it is needed.

One thing I did hear the other day that was interesting:

Alabam's OOC schedule average score was 50-9 while BSU average score in their conference has been 51-9.

Keep asking the same question over and over because the answer is you don't know which Alabama team is going to show up each week to play, thus they are lacking in the top contender department.

If you'd simply answer it, I wouldn't have to ask it more than once.

You still haven't answered it.

Oregan is a strong 2nd half team, I expect they will pull through with or without the refs help.

Boise and TCU can play in the Cupcake Bowl. Those two teams have no business in the top 10 period. Record doesn't matter if you play nobody. Alabama at 9-3 (with a healthy QB) would slaughter both those squads, it wouldn't even be funny.

As long as Boise gets a top ranked team (Read: Not TCU) and TCU the same for the bowls this year it will do a lot to put some mouths in their place. Wisconsin vs Boise and TCU vs LSU would be great with Ore vs Auburn for the NC.

I mean great as in TCU and Boise would get slaughtered and the needless spin for those teams could be canned.

Considering that Alabama is not even close to a top program this year where do you rank them at?

It is an opinion question and answer and you won't like my answer. Looking at how Alabama has FAILED to show up week in and week out, they compare to a bunch of teams in the nation even on BSU's and TCU's schedule.

Look over the schedules and take your pick.

You sure do like jumping around direct questions don't you? Are you a politician in the making? You say that Alabama would not go undefeated if they had Boise's schedule this year. Really? Which game do you think they would lose and why? Those are pretty direct questions and should be easy enough for you to answer.

Okay, I'll compare it to BSU's game against Wyoming and TCU's game against Wyoming.
