Having trouble finding information on an exe program loading when XP starts up. Has any heard of bcdazg.exe (found in the system32 folder). I believe it is bad.....started getting program closing errors on Windows shutdown, after running Ad-aware & Spybot

I believe your right, because I can't find any thing on it ....I'll re-run the virus program and manually remove it if needed.

Thanks

Right click on the file itself, and check it's properties. If there's no version number or manufacturer listed I'd be suspicious. Boot into safe mode, and rename (never delete) the file - I usually just add an underscore character to the beginning of the filename (eg: _bcdazg.exe). Then remove it from your startup and reboot.

If it comes back it's almost certainly spyware, but either way I'd run a full spyware scan afterwards. Please refer to my detailed spyware removal instructions here: http://soldcentralfl.com/flyingpenguin/spyware/spyware_help.html

Then I would suggest you run a FULL virus scan from SAFE MODE afterwards.

Hope this helps...
