BC2 vs MoH?

I'm thinking about buying Bad Company 2 since it's gotten so cheap. However, I don't want to buy it and then find no one playing after the release of Medal of Honor...are plenty of people still playing BC2?

I'm not sure what to think about the Medal of Honor reboot, but the comments haven't seemed so glowing as of yet.

Any ideas? Should I wait on Medal of Honor or get Bad Company 2 (for 1/2 the price of MoH)?

They are almost 2 entirely different types of games. Sure they are both FPS, but they feel so completely different.

Isn't DICE making the multiplayer for both games?

Yes

I just traded in my copy of BC2 after playing the same maps for 7 months...DICE doesn't give a shit, too busy with MoH. If you don't mind a game that'll die after 3 months...i'd say go for BC2. MoH will be out there for a while, but then again...It's all your choice, MoH will more likely be active on PS3/360 than on PC. BC2 is a great game and has a huge PC community, that is the only reason i'm gonna say get BC2, people will still be playing it til at least BF3.

Played the MoH beta that opened this week and I didn't like it. It felt like a dumb down BC2. All the rifles shoot with almost zero recoil. Too easy to kill people. That really killed the game for me.

Didn't DICE release a whole bunch of maps...which I think are free on the PC version?

The fact that it has a huge PC community is a pretty good reason for me. I played the open beta of BC2 earlier this year, and it was the most fun I had with a multiplayer fps in a long time. Modern Warfare wasn't as much fun as this was for me...I wasn't really in doubt that I would enjoy BC2. I was worried about MoH destroying BC2's player base.

All they did was take a Conquest map and put it as a Rush map. I wouldn't use "new" to describe the maps they added...more like reused.

moh is like bc2 for dummies. the reduced recoil and even tinier maps will allow even the worst to rack up some kills.

I bought Bad Company 2 today at Best Buy using a 10% off coupon I found on CAG...thereby getting rid of tax. So, it was just as cheap as Amazon, without the wait on shipping.

I started playing Multiplayer. I was disappointed that my progression from the open beta was not saved, but I'm enjoying it thoroughly. It just feels so epic and action packed...watching everything blow to shit all around you, all while trying to survive and take out your enemy, is quite fun...I'm not even sure whether I'll play the single player campaign.

I had also forgotten about how amazing the audio is...

Enjoy it :)

I got 7 months out of it before i sold it to gamestop, the vietnam expasion will be coming out soon, so i'm sure you'll get more fun out of it, plus playing on PC is a lot better than on console as far as BC2 goes.

I haven't even tried the single play in BC2. Maybe I should try it.

SP was more fun for me than MP. At least there weren't 50 people sniping at you at once, hit detection was good, and you could actually see the enemies (they weren't the size of ants).

i getting MOH since it has good qualities but it is so much easier than BC2 its like the easy version, i averaged 30 or more kills with 2 or 3 to 1 K/D ratio since dont have to worry about drag, drop or anything lol

still fun though :D

Anything DICE does never gets updated much after release. Its a fun game to play, BC2 is awesome. But they never, ever, fix anything that is broken.

To many war games out anyways, BC2 you won't be disappointed.
