BC2 Vietnam vs BC2 Vanilla

I've been playing Vietnam for the past 3 months and have played Vanilla BC2 intermittently.

IMO, Vietnam feels much more solid and the gameplay is a lot more intense than Vanilla. Obviously, the vehicles, weapons, and maps are quite limited in Vietnam but the overall controls, gameplay, action, etc. are much more balanced than Vanilla, again, IMO.

What do you guys think? Do you play Vietnam more than Vanilla? Even if I play Vanilla for a while, I find myself going back to Vietnam to get that extra bit of excitement that seems to be lacking in Vanilla for me. I'm not sure, may be it's because I've been playing Vietnam for 3 months straight.

I prefer Vietnam. The RPG and can take out tanks and hueys without too much trouble. Weapons seem better. But, Vietnam was done by the group that did MoH, which I really liked.

I play Vietnam more than Vanilla. What really gripes me, is that if I switch between the two, my saved loadouts are always set back to default!

Yes, makes me want to punch a toddler in the face every time. Aw well, I'm getting the hang of clicking through loadouts pretty fast now thanks to this crappy implementation (or lack thereof).

I played Vietnam for a long time after it came out. Over the past month I've been playing Vanilla at least 50% of the time. I like them both.

I just bought Vietnam today. I like it so far, except for the explosives spam. It's insane. Constant rpgs, mortars, grenades. It's way worse than in bc2.

Guns also seem much more powerful, especially the M14. It almost seems overpowered.

Vietnam is far better because it doesn't take 4+ rounds to kill a person in hardcore mode like many of the weapons in vanilla do. However I don't like any of the maps much in Vietnam, so it pretty much ruins it for me.

I like Vietnam a lot more. Classes appear more balanced, and the stripping of gadgets like scopes/red dots helps that.

Too much tank rape in some of the maps though, I'd love some readjusting in those spawn times.
