I asked if we could get a feature back, how does that make me unhappy?

While working on version 4.0 I noticed an annoying bug (that I think RH71 kept bringing up) where if you were in a gallery, looked at a picture and clicked back the gallery page would pop back to the top (except in IE). Anyway, I fixed it here because I didn't realize how annoying it was.

I've been working on 4.0 for the past couple of weeks. The biggest improvements are really in the back end which is being rewritten 100% from scratch (anyone who has seen the source for 2.x knows why.

Don't expect feature creep or radical changes from what you see here today. I've really put a lot of thought into how to make things as simple as possible to use (read: no wasted clicks). I think everyone will be pretty happy with the results.

The goal is to get pretty much to the feature set we have now plus some additions (NSFW tagging, public galleries, and user-defined galleries), then add things as enough people request them. The code right now is so rigid and hard to modify that adding features was a chore, so this will change with 4.0 and will open things up for OSS developers.

I'll post more as things come along.

The old site already has a random picture on the today page so I would guess that it would be trivial for him to add a random gallery. Just send Dwell a PM and request it.
