BBS way back then were free or pay?

Exactly. I never paid a dime for BBSes. They were all free, and not because I was a phreaker. Although I made my red and blueboxes! (Though blueboxing was just about dead by 1992). I miss that underground feel. There was something so nice to be able to have that BBS community - people who were into the early technology, usually intelligent. So different than the AOL kiddie. AOL and the crew are solely responsbible for dumbing down the computer telecommunications sphere. Fvckers.

most were free... those were the days. .1200 baud modems... when 14.4k came out i thought it was such unbelievable technology.. lol...

remember STUDS.. or drugwars.

Never paid for BBS. Most were free, especially the good ones... 🙂

Ahh.. The memories..... .. .. ..
