BBS rims redux

I'm finally finished (50%) with my bbs rims refinish, I have up on the polished lip look since the lips were pitted to shit and clearcoat ate up my chrome paint (DOH!)

So finally I decided to go with all bronze with black base coat to make it darker (first attempt at bronze looked light brown). Here are the pictorz:



The rims will be going on my 944, which will be painted with a 50/50 blend of hot rod flatz copper and carnival red

I really like the 'retro' look on euros like that (I seen your other car pics). Looks nice. Not a huge fan of an older car with a really new style of wheels, it just doesn't look right.

Can't really tell from the picture but are they staggered? the lip on the first pic in the far left looks deeper than the other two, but it's probably the camera angle.

I painted my stock miata wheels bronze. No clearcoat though.

You should definitely clear coat it, it adds a lot to the shine and color. I just did mine with rustoleum rattle can and it looks awesome.
