Title speaks for itself. Apparently the MRI scan of an Apple fan shows that liking Apple activates parts of the brain similar to a religious person.

Cue all the Cult of Apple/Jobs comments and jokes.

And less you fandroids get uppity, I'm sure your love of Android activates the same areas of your brains. Passionate fans of anything would probably stimulate the same areas of the brains as the blog notes.

Out of curiosity, when your Apple (or Android) device crashes and needs to be rebooted, what parts of the brain light up for THAT?

Remember the incredible Hulk, and the camera would zoom deep into his head and brain stem showing the rage building and activating the hultk?

That part.

NEWS FLASH:

People crave acceptance and a sense of belonging.

I get neither of those from Apple products lol!!!

People (I) want high quality things that work well in the aspects that matter (like battery life).

Though presumeably some people do (the Apple fan clubs, the early liners etc).

Most of us (the 95% of the others) buy them when they fit our need and wants.

I'm assuming that "yaaht" stands for "yet another apple (or android) hate troll"? If so I think you need to read Gadgets Gear & Phones because you'll see numerous posts where I mention I own an Apple iPhone and I refute numerous Apple haters on their endless Apple bashing but I certainly will post when I think Apple is making a mistake or when I think Android has a clear advantage.

I found this bit of news interesting though not surprising and thought others might want to see the BBC report. I posted this in OT cause I knew someone was going to troll it but that was certainly not my intention to troll.

Dude, from what I've seen of you in the Gadget forum you're just a couple steps away from batshit crazy. You might as well get a black turtleneck tattooed on.

It's funny because it's true

Oh haha, I'm rolling over! :D

The truth is, people who can't see the superiority or correctness of something (sometimes, that means an Apple product), simply receive upon them my ridicule and scorn. That's all. ^_^

I guess I'm an Apple hater hater. :sneaky:

No, you're just a typical run-of-the-mill Apple Zealot. :colbert:

Before you call me an "Apple Hater", I've had an iPhone 3G in the past, and would buy an iPhone 4 if I could find one for a decent price (~$200, non-contract/second hand). I'd also buy an iPad if it were cheaper, same with their computers (I really need to learn OSX, some of my family have Macs).

Can we do this on gun owners? I suspect we'd get even stronger responses from them.

Right to lifers would be up there too I suspect.

Hilarious.

The real question is this worse for apple lovers or religion in general?

I wonder what a hardcore christian apple fanboys brain looks like.
