Losing traction on the courts with the shoes I have right now ... I don't have the exact name of the shoe I but it's some nike running shoes.

Don't ask why I use running shoes for bball, but I play better in those than regular bball shoes, I get more out of it, it's less rigid so I'm feel quicker and jump higher, but it's so much easier to turn the ankle.

I haven't tried new balanace before so I thought I might try that out if not I'm defaulting to some tailwinds ... suggestions? Anyone know if there are any light NBs?

no, no nike shox for me ...

I haven't bought basketball shoes in a long time. Been using Nike's Gary Payton for awhile now and they still work great. I use to be like you, wearing running shoes for bball. They don't do jack swat for protecting your ankles. Trust me, after you roll your ankle from a misstep or landing on someone's foot you'd wished for bball shoes.

Why not Nike Shox? I have a pair of Nike basketball shoes and running shoes that feature Shox, and they are the best shoe's I've ever had. YMMV, but for me the Shox work really well, and they've also lasted quite a while.

I also think playing basketball in running shoes is just asking for trouble... I turn my ankles way too easily.
