BB cell phone replacement plan

Anyone have a good way to take advantage of the 3 year BB replacement plan? When I bought the plan last July, the salesman told me that I could upgrade and pay the difference at any time. Today when I tried to upgrade my A460 to the 8100, they made me go to a sprint store and have them run diagnostics and came to the conclusion that the phone was fine adn wouldn't let me upgrade 🙁 Any help would be appreciated. I never would have bought the service plan if they were not going to let me upgrade.

If you want to do some work you can get an upgrade. Just dissect the phone and mess something up internally so it doesnt turn on anymore.

Did you tell the Sprint Store you had an extended BB warranty? When I had my phone tested for the hell of it, I told them I had one and they failed it eventhough it was fine.

yea, as long as they realize you're getting it replaced @ best buy and not through sprint I dont think they'll care.

They just dont want to fail it if you're going to have sprint replace it, since they'll lose $

My friend tried to do this with his digital camera last week and they shot him down. Seems like BB is full of BS with that plan. I would NOT buy that 3 year replacement plan.

It's not a replacement plan. It says nowhere on the borchure that it is a replacement plan. It is a service plan, intended to help you out in the event that your phone should fail. Quit trying to cheat the system and make things more expensive for the rest of us.

exactly, there are only 2 year replacement plans for certain items under $200, and service plans are 3-5 years in which they have to attempt to repair your item, unless it's flagged devo...but only they will know that
