This might be a bit of spamming, so if this is frown upon, lock it up.

But I know there are a good amount of folks from the bay area here so it might be good ... just a heads up there's a thread going on slickdeals trying to get a group buy together for a 24hr fitness membership. They're shooting for $550/3yrs and $24 renewal/year after.

So gogogogo if you're interested.

Group buys are not permitted on AnandTech.

I'm not in the bay area, but how exactly would all these people use one membership? Or am I missing something?

regular membership is massively discounted when signing up with multiple people (15+ people).

Not too shabby for Active + Sport club access. I'm going $27 a month for month to month now. (My 3 years was up a long time ago)

Not bad. Mine was like $649 for 3 years, and $29 a year after.. on the second year now. Wasn't a group buy though.

the initial hit hurts a bit (have to pay the 3 years up front), but when you plop down just $24 for that fourth year, it feels GRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAT!!

(I'm on my fourth year now, paid the $24 back in june)

Wow that's cheap. $550 gets about 6 months here. :p I'd love to get in on even the $550 for 3 years...

we're up to 15 people now, the best we've gotten so far is $550/$99. Hopefully, it'll come down as more people call their branches.

How did some of you guys get the $24/year deal, did you just get a good manager?
