Why would you not? it is right in the center of the green?

edited for you, who would undoubtedly stick it to 2 feet and a tap-in birdie. :cookie:

yeah, looks like there is a lot of water out there, and plenty of trees. great combo for a golfer! That 6th hole doesn't look to be more than 300 yards though, how long was the course?

Nope, more like 10 feet and sweat the putt 😉 If the pin was stuck on the far left, I would still aim where the flag is in that picture. 😀

capping off a good trip with a sunset

Now that is a sweeeet picture! Dind't even look the first time through.

Nice pics of the course ... I love carry-over-water-approaches. With the weather we're having up here, I'm going to have to break out the digital camera to take some course pictures, as it feels like the leaves will change soon. High of 10 fvcking degrees celcius today, and I have a match I have to play. Bring the mitts & toque for sure.

I want to see some pics of the swing! 😉

Yeah, myself and about 19 other guys from my golf league went there Sunday morning and came home last night. Great resort! I was impressed by the clubhouse / hotel. Some older guys from the league have been going there for years. It was my first visit but I will definitely be going back.

Those 6th hole pics were taken from where you'd want to be after your tee shot. The hole is 547 yards from the blue tees which is where we hit from every time. Some of the lower handicappers played from the tips which is 587. I parred it once though, one of only two guys to par that hole all weekend!! I hit 3-wood, 3-wood, 7-iron to about 10 feet but missed the birdie. The course measures 6175 from the blues - not that long - and 6661 from the black tees. You can play a risk/reward game there, or try to play smart.

holy cow, nice lookin course.

Congrats on the 96!

Just curious, did the UpLink GPS caddies work out alright for y'all? 😀

LOL - when I break 80, you can congratulate me! Not for a crappy score like that *puuke*

Well, there was no GPS on the carts. One thing I did like was that their yardage markers had three yardages on them (front, mid, and back of greens).

No GPS? They're one of our customers! 😕

Seriously, 96 is a great score! For a beginner like me, I'll be happy if I hit in the 130s. Problem is i have too much movement in my backswing. 🙁

That's wild. Because I was really hoping for GPS on the carts. A yardage book for each hole would have even been nice. Call them and tell them I want a free 18 with GPS! :| 😉

Have you played there? That's a great course eh? Water on 13 holes - holy cow!

Yeah I have movement in just about every part of my swing. All I have been trying to do is finish balanced with my hands nice & high. That was working okay on some swings. But when you play the game like we do (getting totally wasted while playing), you can only expect so much. I would like to try the course for a serious round. Heck, even in a 4-man scramble, we only shot -5 with a bogey. One group made it to -10, and I was impressed as heck with that score.

I really have to find myself a job with a golf company/GPS company/golf course architecture company. I'd love to go into work everyday then. 🙂

Probably only about 70% of us love to play golf. It's still a job, you know. 😛

Maybe you can start off with a job at Golfsmith or something; at least learn retail there.

I haven't had a chance to go there. Invite me next time, and I'll show you all the easter eggs on the GPS caddies. 🙂
