Bay cooling fan

freeway

Anyone use a good intake fan that fits in a 5 1/4" bay? I have my system rigged with a fan hanging under my cdrom drive, a bay cover removed and a foam filter ducttaped on. It is effective, but looks aweful. I'm looking at the Vantec cooler with (3)40x15mm fans and a removable filter for $12. Thanks for any ideas.

Freeway,I`ve a Sunon 80mm which comes mounted in 5 1/4 bracket bay, I have it hanging over the motherboard blowing air on to CPU & board It`s screwed into back of PC case so it`s secure, anyway I have another on order may hang it over the PCI cards,(there is room )blowing or sucking will experiment with positioning,or may put it at bottom front of case, the fun part is trying different places & checking Temperature.

I also use Vantec bay cooler (two 92mm blowing out). The factory cfm claims is close as it's blowing much more air than my 80mm Sunon high output. Overall, good for the value concious and fits nicely in the bay as it were factory equiped. Not bad for $20.
