Bay Area?

people from both san diego and san francisco use the term..........but isn't it a bit confusing? i for one sure as hell do :confused:

the term bay area (in my mind) should really only be used from san francisco in the north, oakland in the east, and san jose in the south... use those three cities and make a triangle and that's the bay area... anything east of oakland is east bay, and everything north of sf is north of sf... even san jose could be considered south bay, but i live here a majority of the time, so i consider it bay area..

Bay area is roughly from Santa Rosa to San Jose, and east to... hmm, maybe Fairfield or so. Note that this area does NOT include San Diego.

Yeah, me neither. I think that the term "Bay Area" has always been associated with the San Francisco area.
