Bay Area vs LA/OC

If you were given an equal offer after cost of living adjustments from both locations, where would you choose to work??? What are some of the pros and cons of each?? I most likely will be moving to SF or San Jose if I live in the Bay Area. I'm not too sure where's the best place to live if at LA if I get an offer near Malibu. Anyone lived in both and wanna share their experience?

bay area. but i'm biased because i grew up there.

i've been in LA for school since 99 and after i graduated in 2003, i wound up staying. i really don't enjoy the pace of life here. sure there's stuff open late, there's something to do, but that's not really me. i like the laid backness of the bay area, with a lot less superficiality. (i'm in west LA, so that feeds into it.) i hate the traffic here, i hate a lot of the people here... on and on.

san francisco is a nice place, but i can't live there. it's just way too expensive. we are currently looking at the peninsula to relocate.

I've lived in LA, OC, and the Bay. Nothing compares to OC IMO. Then LA, then the bay.

OC/SD (awesome weather, chill atmosphere, good looking people) > Bay Area (urban living at its finest) >> LA (a horrible dirty city, angry people, and smoggy weather)
