Bay Area folks, is it raining where you are?

While Tahoe gets pounded with snow, we get to look forward to apparently high wind and lots of rain down here in the Bay Area.

As long as my plane can take off on Saturday, I don't care how much rain we get! 🙂

Just cold (a relative term) and windy here in Santa Clara. Should be storming by the commute home - oh joy!

I'm in the Central Valley and it's sprinkled a few times and some light rain overnight, but the storm hasn't gotten here YET...give it time...it looks like we're in for a good one.

Its going to get pounded here for the next 2 days. Not much in terms of other places in the US but its the most rain we're projected to get in the last 2 years.
I'm in SF right now at work next to the ballpark. So far its been a few showers is all.

It sprinked just a tad in downtown SF. I was walking out the door and saw everyone with their umbrellas out or ducking for cover and thought it was a tsunami out there--but there were nothing more than just a few droplets falling from the sky.

yeah, its supposed to rain for days and days. I have to commute to Santa Clara from Santa Cruz. Highway 17 will be _delightful_....

*prepares for epic fail tomorrow morning*

Highway 17... I hate that route. I got stuck there on July 4th for ages and I can't imagine morning commutes in rain there. I'll be returning on the 8th, but it still llooks like it's raining and Tahoe's gonna get pounded more. Looks like I'll have a few days to get ready for snowboarding.

I'm definitely happy I decided to fly tomorrow instead of today!

May have to go outside and drain the pond a bit. 😱

San Jose represent........it's not terrible, but it's been constant since early early this morning....large gusts of wind....it's going to be a party this weekend!

I'm actually thinking of heading to half moon bay and along the coast just to see the waves. Last time I checked, they were 24ft.

I'm in Reno. Raining and hurricane-force winds on the valley floor. Whiteout in the mtns. All mountain roads have chain controls. Some are closed. Ski resorts are closed.

Been raining pretty good here in Modesto all morning...(and most of the night as well) LOTS of wind, but so far, nothing severe.

I thought you lived in Central Calif.

Modesto is in the Central Valley...about half way between Sacramento and Fresno...Pretty much the center of the known universe...😛

San Jose here... Looking out the window from my cube at the intersection of Tasman and Great America Parkway, and it's been raining pretty good. Driving to work today was an adventure.

I'm looking forward to some good skiing next month.

*smacks own head*. Sorry, I missed the 'Valley' part. Yeah, I think I've been to Modesto once. About 90 miles from where I live in Sunnyvale.

Heh yeah the roads were a mess. 880 and 680 looked so bad on the traffic site this morning I took city streets almost all the way from downtown SJ to Fremont, and I think it may have been faster.

tasman/great america, I work like 5mins from there!
thinking of skipping out early from work, can't imagine the traffic at 6 tonight.

Was pretty bad here today in the Marina/Pac Heights district. I work up in San Rafael and had to stay home due to Golden Gate Transit shutting down. Looks like the GG and Bay bridge are both pretty messed up at the moment.
