Hmm, worked fine for me. I checked NTcompatible and there are no known problems. Have you instaled the latest patch and applied Win2k compatability updates?
I couldn't get Diablo, BG or Bg2 to run on my pc (Win 98SE, MSI K7T pro-2a) until I got this advice from another Anandtecher:
<< Ok, download the VIA 4in1 4.29 motherboard drivers first (these fix allot of things, include AGP drivers, harddrive controller drivers, and other important drivers for VIA chipset motherboards) and install them. Here is the link for the file http://www.viahardware.com/download/4in1429v(a).zip
Then download the Nvidia 12.00 drivers (or actualy download them all first, then install in these steps), these are the ones that work the best and fastest without any problems for me. Here is where you can get these, http://www.icrontic.com/downloads/detonator/win9x/w9x-12.00.zip >>
I was also told to install DirectX8 but 6 seems to work fine.
I couldn't even get BG to install properly till I did this!
Hopefully this might give you guys some ideas because BG and Bg2 are awesome😀
