I really don't think there is any danger of them voting for a Republican so why would they need to pander to them?

Again, your prejudiced stereotypical ignorance is amazing, even for a liberal.

Can you please list off the reasons why Muslims would vote for a Republican?

My Muslim Co-workers are getting a kick out of this thread please enlighten us!

Can you give a reason why a Catholic would vote for a Democrat?

I'm getting a kick out of how ignorant you are, especially in this thread.

I imagine a Muslim might vote republican for the same reasons that others do since I don't ignorantly classify people's politics based on religion, race, income, or any other demographic. I would put small government or limiting government involvement in your life at the top of that list.

I was simply answering your dumb question with a dumb example of my own. You failed to see that.

Again, showing your ignorance by relying on your ONE coworker to give you an overall view of Muslims. Fucking brilliant.

Then you obviously must not be too familiar with the trade union/'blue collar' wing of the Democratic party.

These people you are labelling are actually not very socially liberal usually. They are only voting Dem because of monetary reasons.

I think it's safe to say the Democratic Parties tent is a HELL OF A LOT bigger then the Republican's at this juncture.

I haven't seen any Democrats introducing any anti-Sharia laws recently ;)

Muslims for Progressive values. I wonder when the right will pander to this voting block?

What voting block? This is one woman. It is hardly a movement.

You're just distracting from the story by taking cheap shots at conservatives. This is not about the right, this is about Islam isn't it? Are you sure you don't just want to start a thread titled "conservatives are bigots"?

I think it is more enjoyable for forum members to come to that conclusion after reading the threads then to show your hand in the thread title.

When the left stops pandering to the Muslims for Islamic values voting block.

The left panders to them all the time with their 'don't burn Muslims alive on sight, it's not nice' special privileges, just like pandering to blacks with their whining against lynching.

Corrupt sons of bitches, how cynical of them trying to win elections with pandering at the expense of good Republicans who are victimized not to get to hurt who they want.

So you're trolling? At least you're honest about it?

No I am letting people come to their own conclusions and obviously you think I am trolling because you don't agree with me...that's an old worn out argument BYE.

My question waswhy the Right is trying to pander to this voting block i.e Muslims which is a legitimate question.

No it's a trolling bait and switch. The title is about Islam and then you somehow change the topic to conservatives being haters when it has nothing to do with the story.

No it's about Gay Rights for Muslims if you read it carefully and the thread has been railroaded by people who took exception to the article.

And I already asked (sorry railroaded) this question but how does this have anything to do with political views, especially the right?

Read your original post again. You started going off about conservatives from the start when the story has nothing to do with it.

I wasn't aware of surge American Muslim voters defecting to the Republicans in droves maybe I am wrong? I guess the Republicans have always catered to the minorities and I am woefully ignorant :(

My question was will the Righties try to get majority of the Muslim voters in this country to support them. There I spelled it out for you.

Plain and simple then since you don't seem to get it. How does a Muslim questioning her faith's view of homosexuality have anything to do with Conservatives?

Yeah I saw that. The problem is that the article has nothing to do with conservatives.

A large number of people who today call themselves conservatives are religious fundamentalists who politically support discrimination against gays' equal rights.

Well I assumed and I could be wrong but it seems like the Republican party just doesn't embrace these folks and there are NUMEROUS examples of this in the media. Take for example the Right up in arms about building a Mosque 2 blocks away from the 9/11 site, numerous States introducing Anti-Sharia laws, and oh how about the Gay Soldier BOOED at the one of the last Republican Primaries.

Now I could be off base by this If I am please tell me!

I am using this Article to illustrate a potential voting populate that the Righties don't seem to be tapping into capiche?

Then you could title your thread properly. But instead you're just bait and switch trolling.
