Looks like there is a new game in the works, looking for funding on kickstarter

Lets hope they pull it off. The guys who made the Mechwarrior Online gave up on their turn based game (at least to my knowledge). They had a fairly well working alpha/beta but the way things were unlocked was card packs, with each card giving you either a weapon, component (heatsink, advanced electronics, etc.), mech chassis, pilot, or skill/bonus. You then used those cards to create your mech lance and fight it out.
The fact that MechWarrior Tactics had done an even worse job than the MWO team at drawing mechs (they looked completely redesigned and in some cases barely resembled the originals) was bad enough... then they scrapped the game for reasons unknown.
This Battletech game... I don't know how to feel. MWO and MWT burned so badly that I'm tempted to just take my ball and go home with my MW2/3/4 and MC1/2 memories.
I sort of wish they weren't using the MWO art. Would have really preferred the more classic designs. No time based rewards for backing this one. I'll probably back it, but want to see where it goes before I commit.
That could of beena copyright issue. Some of the designs in battletech were licensed from manga stuff.

I LOVED Starsiege, I don't know why they abandoned it and concentrated only on Tribes. No one does manuals and backstory like they used to back then.
If anyone's feeling nostalgic - check out http://www.the-flet.com/dynamix/ss/. "Compendium" is, of course, the huge compendium they had to accompany the user's manual itself.
3025 was the best tech era. All that clan shit was jumping the shark.
Thanks. They were fun to make. Too bad Dynamix got closed down when vevendi decided to consolidate its offices to Seattle. I still think it was mostly because they didn't like having to visit the smaller studios. :\ Garage Games is where a lot of the people ended up including Jeff Trunnel, but it doesn't look like they are doing anything outside of torque anymore. I've kinda lost track of most of the folks from those days though.
Whoa you need to expand on this statement a bit. What did you do there?
