Sup all... I was playing BSP and I notice that the performance was horrible, after a few mess with the settings I notice that the game got their performance sky high when setting up the catalyst AI into disable with a 4870x2... LOL!!! disabling one of the two gpus actually makes the game run better....
 
This happens fairly often, especially for newer games that ATI hasn't optimized the drivers for. If the game can't make use of dual graphics cards, the overhead from having two makes performance worse.
 
Yep, the reason I bought the 280 instead of the 4870x2. SLI does wonders when it works, but too many games either ignore it or actually suffer downgraded performance to use it.
