Just finished watching the Pilot, all three hours of it. SOOOO good, they got me hooked thats for sure! I have to pace myself on this show though, I have a tendency to fly through shows. I would like to savor this one a bit :p.

But anyways! Great show, just had to tell someone. You guys probably all know about it already ... so just say how awesome it is then ;)

the current season is getting a mixed bag of reviews from the members of Anandtech, but I think it's great. It shows that the heroes of the show are just human, and susceptible to not-to-heroic acts/decisions.

Love the show.

I just picked up the miniseries through season 2.5 on DVD and am ripping them to play on my PDA. :)

I'm already halfway through season 1. I'm not doing the best job of holding off. A couple times I meant to stop after an episode, but they left it with a huge cliffhanger so I had to watch another ;).

The way I look at it, I think its still a great show. Even if its not as good as when it started, its still WAY better then most of that crap. Now that SG1 is cancelled, I only have SGA and BSG to watch.

I still like BSG alot :D

Where'd ya see the pilot? Rather nice of Scifi to never rebroadcast it.

LOL. Yeah, the pilot was absolutely AWESOME. It's even better the 2nd time around. I think i'd rather watch it a third time than watch the new episodes. They're bordering on garbage now - more like typical tv. It really goes downhill starting with season 2.5

The best scene is when they're coming out of the gas cloud:

"All batteries execute. All batteries commence firing."

The guns look frakking awesome.

I thought hard, and I figured out what this season (and the last too for that matter) are missing from teh first two.

They lack the in depth story line. The first 2 seasons had a story line, with multiple subplots all going on, that progressed with each episode, like Lost or 24.

Now they have individual, almost standalone (with the proper background) episodes, kinda like Stargate SG-1 was in the second through fourth seasons (I think it was those ones..). Each episode deals with a small subplot, while slowly progressing a big picture.
Sometimes that subplot is never mentioned again (like the Black Market...)

Listen to the podcast for Black Market and David Eick explains why that episode existed, and why the subplot was never picked up again.
