I know everyone knows there is no single player campaign but the more I think about it, the more pissed I get. It's basically a Call of Duty Mod with a Star Wars skin...

YAWN.......................

Think that such a crappy post would probably be better in a thread already existing about this subject.

I can't remember the last time I played through a single player campaign on a primarily multiplayer FPS.

I played co-op campaigns sure, but single player... no.

Yea. I've yet to play CoD BOIII's campaign. Don't think I ever bothered with BF3's campaign either. Although, I could see how a Star Wars campaign could be good.

It would have been better if it was COD or Battlefield 4 with a skin. Literally every piece of new info I see about the game makes me like it less. Shallow arcade bullshit that will be tired in a week after you get over "wow star wars!"

The furthest I've ever played a FPS single player was return to castle wolfenstein up to the gondola. I tried half life but didn't go too far, shooters should be multiplayer. However this game had far too much running and gunning.

Nah, there's plenty of room to write story-driven single player games too. Battlefield Bad Company 2 was an excellent SP campaign with characters you really connect to.

Proves it can be done.

Good thing it's from the people who made Battlefield and NOT CoD then. At least they know how to make a game engine.

Did it occur to anyone that perhaps Disney told them they have to be hands off with anything story related whatsoever because they don't have an established canon yet outside the films for episode 1-6? They basically took the entire expanded universe, all of it from the books and comics etc and threw it out and told everyone that none of it is canon even when George Lucas himself made some of the expanded universe canonical to the movies.

I'm looking forward to the game but not on PC, gonna get it on console if I do get it because I have RL friends who are probably going to buy it and I'd rather play the game with them.

Thats all cool but everyone would of eaten up a single player campaign based around 4-6. They should of tossed 1-3 as canon as well.

I don't think you understand how much control Disney holds over their property. Disney probably would not allow them to do anything story related at all.

The game is an easy money grab. Call of Duty mechanics + Star Wars universe + Episode 7 release hype = Cha-ching!

Well, I don't remember the past BattleFronts games having single player story mode either to be honest. I do believe there was single player mode, but you simply played on the same maps as multiplayer, just with and against computer AI filling out the teams.

I could care less for a campaign but I won't be buying another FPS unless it has single player with bots. I still play the original Battlefront and Battlefield 2 with bots. Battlefront has the 2 conquest modes and single player missions. If the new Battlefront doesn't have these modes my money will stay in my pocket once again.

I have zero interest in the crap that goes along with multi-player FPS. I'd rather not deal with high or variable ping players, badmins, cheaters, server maintenance, crappy teammates, getting booted for no reason, clans, etc.
