I was a fan of the original BF Vietnam, now they will do a remake for an expansion pack of Bad Company 2

i'll probably buy it, but since you say you're a fan of BF:V from back in the day, sorry to say this game won't even be 1/4th as epic as that game.

BF:V might be my favorite BF game
 
I remember the original and how people would get pissed if you were carrying the m60 around. Fun times, doing one shot bursts.
 
Are there people still playing the original BF:V online? Saw the BF1942 complete pack on sale at Gamestop for $7. Worth it?

haha yeah I remember that. I got BFV at release. I remember that the M60 had the firing rate of a gauss cannon and more accuracy than the M16 and on top of it being able to own tanks. 😀 I won't lie to abused it until they banned it prior to the patch.

Yep, there are still a few populated servers. Always loved flying a chopper and blasting "Flight of the Valkyries" to the enemy below.
 
I loved the old BFV, if only because I got to lug around my nade launcher. If they have it in here with decent ballistics and don't nerf the damn thing to only kill on a direct hit, I'll be happy to jump back in again.
 
BFV had some really cool kit items. punji sticks, portable mortar, shovel/tunnel kit, and an infantry carried AA weapon that worked pretty well (even BF2 didn't have this). too bad none of these are making into the new game.

i used to love riding on the little motorcycle and driving more than 5 minutes (it was slow as hell) to the outskirts of the US base and using the shovel/tunnel kit to create a spawn point. spawn killed like there was no tomorrow! haha i really loved using the portable mortar too, too bad they never brought this back to another BF game...
 
I never did figure out how to use the artillery in that game. I remember once I had eyes on a flag and had someone who actually knew how to use it rain down death on the other team.
Being a sci-fi fan, I enjoyed 2142 more, though the copters were more fun than the VTOLs from 2142.
 
I might buy it since its only $15 and its a revamp compared to 3 shitty maps in MW2. I pay that much for WoW every month anyways.
