Strangely enough the thread with the min and recommended hardware for this game is RIGHT BELOW your thread, and yes, obviously your system will be able to run it.

Well it's hard to do anything but speculate for now since the beta hasn't even started yet, all we really have to go off of are the specs listed by the devs. The fact that the engine is designed for consoles could mean either a) it'll be easy to max out on PC if it's ported well or b)it'll run like crap even though the engine isn't anything special graphically.

I would say you'll be able to set it pretty high, but we should know a lot more about how well it runs by the end of this week after the beta starts.

thanks for the help, im just not sure if i have to upgrade to a dual core cpu, the e8500 is a petty good cpu, resolution will probably be 1600 x 900

I think a e8500 would be more than enough for this game. It kind of depends how they do the physics but I imagine that having two cores would be enough. CPU's generally don't matter that much for FPS's since most of the work is done by the GPU, so I could see them putting the normal processes on the first core and physics on the 2nd core or something like that.

1600x900 is a weird res too, what kind of monitor do you have?

you should be fine. The devs already stated that a higher frequency will preform better than more cores. However they said a high frequency quad is the best. Whats ur 8500 clocked at?

Why do you say you 'know you won't be able to run it at max settings'? I have the same system and have every intention of playing on max settings with hopefully 4xAA. Whether it happens or not... we'll see. But any game that runs on the consoles should play very well on a decent pc.
