Battlefield 4 (Beta) @ 4K Resolution!!

Presenting the first gameplay video of Battlefield 4 (Beta) in 4K resolution (4096x2160)!

Just started playing some BF4 Beta yesterday and started recording some footage.

Playing with every setting maxed out including 4xMSAA at 4800x2560.

Footage is recorded at 4K and the raw video (~10 min) was about 95GB! eek.gif After editing and encoding, video is around 6GB.

Enjoy and would appreciate any feedback/shares/likes.

*Make sure to watch it in "Original" quality for those of you who have 1600P screens or above - the video is 4K and I believe the first BF4 video in TRUE 4K (not upscaled) out there(?). 😀

Cool to see that you are able to play at that resolution. Also this is lower quality than what will be in the actual game, it will look better for the actual release.

But looks like you have a ways to go skill wise. Your aim was terrible, most times you went to aim at someone you were just shooting to the side of them. It also took you a while to see the person aim at them and then fire. Would you like some suggestions?

If he was recording at that resolution, his frame rate was probably in the toilet and widely inconsistent. 😛

The beta does NOT handle well...

Yea the actual gameplay in that video was quite poor. I was getting used to the controls and flow so wasn't really focusing on the actual game itself.

Would definitely welcome any suggestions to improve - I am usually a TDM player and get in the top 3 (or 5) of every round. I really do not like Conquest or any of those types of game modes simply because it takes way too long. I don't like waiting around - I'm constantly moving and rushing into the action like a bawss! 😛

Also, I was playing at 4800x2560 while recording at 4096x2184 with every setting maxed out - the gameplay is at 30FPS since that's what I record at. When I'm not recording, I'm mostly at 60FPS at the same settings.

Also, the program I used to render this video won't allow more than 24FPS for 4K videos - thus, this video is only 24FPS on YouTube. The raw footage I have is 30FPS and a bit smoother but this still looks good IMO.

Very very nice. Thanks for sharing!

Are there any disadvantages to 4K from a gameplay point of view? Maybe too much detail?

Why is the UI looking out of wack? Its all small looking and bunched up?

Those cargo containers are not in my beta? Do they only appear at high res? lol Its a empty street.

LOL.. no such thing as "too much detail". Love all the detail I can get.

While playing at my resolution (much higher than 4K), there are no issues since GPU scaling is great.

It would be nice if I can record @ 4K @ 60FPS (doing it at 30FPS now).

But I thought that I should look for quality over quantity.

I would love a game of depth at low resolution versus one of high resolution wit no depth.

I would gladly give up the detail for a good, quality game ....
